Autumn Totem

The autumnal light casts a warm golden glow across the trunk as it catches the afternoon sunshine, creating interesting shadows and textures which I've tried to capture in this drawing. I returned later to make some more sketches but alas, it had been cut to the ground, I'm glad I captured it.
