Two Oaks, Afternoon Light
Two Oaks, Afternoon Light

These two familiar oaks have become quiet companions in my work - painted often, but never the same. On this particular October afternoon, they stood silhouetted against a soft, fading light. The ploughed field shimmered with unexpected tones, cool greens mingling with earthy pinks, while the sky held the last of the day, moving from a pale blue into the gentlest pink.
This piece captures that fleeting brightness before the season turns inward—a moment both luminous and still.
