Painted en plein air on a crisp December afternoon, The Quiet Field captures a view near Terrington that I’ve returned to many times over the years. This time, I had the place entirely to myself, just the soft sound of wind in the hedgerows and the squelch of my boots in the mud! There’s something grounding about painting a place you know well; it allows you to notice the quieter moments. This was one of them.

Oil on a 30 cm x 40 cm canvas board (approx 12" x 16") Unframed.
