Spring Lane, Thornton-on-the-Hill

I painted this study in my studio on archival oil paper. I intended it to be an experimental study where I wanted to push the colour and make decisive and bold brushstrokes. I was really happy with how it turned out as it captures that early moment in Spring just before everything is fully in leaf. Oil on paper, 30.5cm x 40.5cm. Image area 27cm x 37 cm, UNFRAMED.
