Towards Coxwold and Kilburn White Horse

This painting frames a view across ripe wheat fields and rolling hills towards the village of Coxwold and the White Horse of Kilburn, a scene that never fails to captivate me. I began this piece on location during a changeable day and had to quickly pack up after only completing the initial sketch as the rain arrived. Fortunately, the wheat remained unharvested when I returned a few days later, which isn't always the case!
