May Tree, Farlington

May is without doubt my favourite month. The hawthorn hedges are a sea of billowing blossom, trees are emerging from the dormancy of winter with fresh vibrant growth and the flowers of rape seed oil flush the landscape with an acid yellow. This view of a striking old oak tree captures the emerging leaves on a beautiful, soft and calm May day when all seems well in the world.
