Autumn Ash
Autumn Ash

Painted on location in early October, this quiet country track in North Yorkshire is transformed by the rich colours of autumn.
The golden canopy of a mature ash tree dominates the scene, its warm yellows contrasting with the cooler greens and deep shadows of the surrounding trees and hedgerows. The winding track draws the eye through the trees towards the distant fields.
An expressive oil painting capturing the fleeting beauty of the changing season, when familiar corners of the countryside briefly come alive with colour.
