A quiet track winds past this old oak tree, which I’ve returned to on several occasions. In October the colours shift — earthy greens give way to warmer ochres, and the leaves begin to turn. The freshly ploughed field carried a subtle purple cast, which I gently emphasised to balance the cooler tones of the track.
