Painted on a hot July day, High Leys follows the lane as it winds towards the farm through warm grasses, hedgerows and ripening fields. I was able to work partly from the shelter of the car boot, escaping the strongest sun while capturing the contrast between the cool blue-grey road, dense summer greens and the softer tones of the distant landscape.
